Stroik, Architect LLC, a nationally recognized firm located in downtown South Bend, Indiana, is a practice that grows out of a commitment to the principles of classical architecture and urbanism. Architectural Intern I
Architect I
Performs design computations, compiles data, and elementary architectural assignments. The individual will be responsible for a variety of duties including, but not limited to, assisting staff members, drafting, running errands for the office, typing, and working on the Sacred Architecture Journal. Also responsible for preparing estimates and architectural plans as requested. May inspect structures in the field. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Reports to a supervisor or manager.
Requires a bachelor’s degree with experience in the traditional and classical vernacular and 0–1 years of experience. Must be able to work within a team atmosphere. Artistic and technical skills are a requirement for a variety of tasks including hand drafting, watercolored renderings and studies, and perspective drawing. Knowledge of architectural history and ecclesiastical architecture is required. Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign is desired.
Architectural Intern II
Architect II
Writes specifications as assigned, coordinates with manufacturers, and inspects raw materials. Performs design computations, compiles data, and elementary architectural assignments. The individual will be responsible for a variety of duties including, but not limited to, assisting staff members, drafting, running errands for the office, typing, and working on the Sacred Architecture Journal. Also responsible for preparing estimates and architectural plans as requested. May inspect structures in the field. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Reports to a supervisor or manager.

Job Captain
Architect IV
Responsible for work on substantial projects. Selects, evaluates, and implements procedures and techniques used on projects. Responsible for writing reports and specifications, supervising the preparation of architectural plans, and reviewing completed plans and estimates. Competent in all phases of the design process including coordination with consultants, be able to translate sketches into working drawings, and manage a project from start to finish. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to the Principal.
Requires a bachelor’s degree with experience in the traditional and classical vernacular and with 3–5 years of experience in the field and an exceptional level of professional competence. Registration is not required. Must be able to work within a team atmosphere. Artistic and technical skills are a requirement for a variety of tasks including hand drafting, watercolored renderings and studies, and perspective drawing. Knowledge of architectural history and ecclesiastical architecture is required. Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign is desired.
